Three of our exotic cactus in bloom
They bloom during the night and shrivel up in the sun the next day

Brittle bush

Purple sage

One of our hundred+ saguaro in bloom

Saguaro bloom upclose and personal - once the flower dries up and falls off the green seed pod will ripen and split open revealing a very sweet & tasty red pulp (which many folks think is a red flower)

Staghorn cholla in bloom

View from back porch - jojoba bush, ocotillo, yellow palo verde and ironwood (purple blossoms)

Ironwood tree blossom

Pin-cushion or Fishhook cactus in bloom - the small (3/4in)
red fruits produced by the flowers are very good to eat

Sunset from our house

Same sunset looking more to the north
