Optical cutting cantilever made by ZINSER ( from Deutschland ) for small cutting patterns. The table have about 36"X36". (Unit is sold without the table which must be built and adjusted to the usual works and operator). This is also much convenient for shipping. The cutting unit works with oxy gas and propane.
This unit is best for art works and small blacksmith shop or amateur blacksmith and forge. Pictures included.
Price: 1000$can. or would trade it for a small Air or Hydraulic hammer.

4.       12” x 36” Darsin (imported) Lathe, Belt drive, with DRO, 5C collets set and closer, 3 and 4 jaw chucks, steady rest, Phase II quick change tool holder w/ 8 QC holders, Tool post grinder, lots of tooling, Operator’s manual and Sherline vertical milling attachment that can be bolted to the cross slide (Sherline p/n 1185 this also includes a compete Sherline 4000 manual mini-lathe! www.sherline.com ).  This modification is great for accurate drilling, tapping and milling dovetails in gun barrels!  The power head can be switched back to the mini-lathe for turning small parts.  There is no stand included.  All equipment is in Very Good to Excellent condition.                                                                                            Asking: $3000 firm.

I will try to get some photos of the equipment within the next couple of weeks.  Please note that most of this equipment will have to be picked up at my residence in South Lake Tahoe and loading on this end will also be the responsibility of the buyer.  There is a big forklift available at the local sand and gravel company for $85 an hour (ouch!)….. but that’s Tahoe for you.  We just used him to load a milling machine that I sold to Mike Quesenberry.  Mike said it was the best money he ever spent!       My contact information is:

I quit blacksmithing in 1988 when my shoulder gave out from the hammering.  Finally, in December 2006, I stopped publishing Blacksmith's Gazette.  Now, I've finally decided to start getting rid of my many books on blacksmithing.
